Here it is! Our girl’s nursery reveal! Over the last couple of months I was sure I’d never get this room finished, but finally I’m feeling pretty good about it.
As you can imagine, I’ve looked at thousands of nursery photos, scoured Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration. But I wanted it to still be “ours”. I’ve loved the floral trend that’s been going on for girl’s nurseries these days, but I knew I wanted to do it a little bit different. I finally found this beautiful watercolor wall paper from Anthropologie. I thought it was perfect because it has a floral look to it without actually any florals at all.
Then, a friend gave my the perfect shower gift without ever even seeing the paper I picked out! This beautiful pillow and matching print from Society6. They tie it all together perfectly!
I also found this precious Seattle skyline print on Society6 which is great because I knew the frames would match. Can’t let this girl forget where she came from!!
I knew I wanted to incorporate some greenery in the nursery (until she wants to start digging in the pots!) because we are surrounded by such a lush environment, I think that should continue inside as well. So I found this cute palm at Ikea and grabbed a couple of succulents as well. No promises how long any of these will live, but so far so good.
Now that the nursery is done, I cannot wait to bring her home! Not that I will ever feel “ready”, but I can’t stop imagining rocking her in the glider and dressing her up in all of the outfits carefully folded in the drawers. For now, I’ll just keep vacuuming and rewashing everything for the hundredth time!
Let me know if you have any questions about anything.
